Encaustic Medium

Encaustic Medium, a mix of white filtered beeswax and damar resin, has been specially developed for encaustic applications. The medium in the form of pellets can be used neat for collage or mixed with encaustic paints or pigments. The addition of the damar resin increases the melting temperature of the medium up to 70 ° C, making the wax less sensitive to heat damage. With the damar resin, the Encaustic Medium can also be polished to a high gloss, giving your work more depth and intensity.
